The heart of the Grand Duchy, dazzles with its dramatic cliffs, ancient fortifications, and vibrant cultural life. We’ll walk through the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, explore the Bock Casemates, and enjoy the elegant shops and cafes. Departure to Strasbourg. We’ll visit its historic center, UNESCO World Heritage site. Highlights include the Maison Kammerzell, Gutenberg Square, St. Thomas Church, Petite France with the old tanners' houses, the Covered Bridges, and the Vauban Barrage. The tour continues to the Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Rohan Palace, the former residence of the Bishops of Strasbourg. We will end the visit with a stroll through the European Quarter, featuring the Palace of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights, and the European Parliament. Highlights include the House of Heads, the Church of the Dominicans, the Collegiate Church of Saint Martin, the Pfister House, a symbol of Colmar and one of the most beautiful bourgeois Renaissance houses, the former customs house "Koïfhus.", and the Fishmonger's Quay, once the nerve center of fishing and fish trade, leading to "Little Venice," so named due to the alignment of houses on both sides of the river that runs through this part of the city. Continue to Basel. A vibrant cultural hub on the banks of the Rhine, enchants visitors with its rich history, art scene, and stunning architecture. Highlights include the magnificent Basel Minster, the historic Old Town with its charming narrow streets, and the striking Tinguely Fountain and the beautiful views of the Rhine River from the Mittlere Brücke.
